Al Giesen,

Managing Director, joined Stone Murphy in 1996 and has conducted numerous local and national executive search assignments on behalf of a broad range of private and publicly held companies. He also manages engagements for the recruitment of executives for portfolio companies owned by private equity firms. Al is experienced in the completion of searches from the Director through C-level in the functional areas of accounting, finance, general management, human resources, legal, marketing, operations and sales.

Al has completed multiple searches across a broad range of industries including broker dealer, business services, education, energy, foodservice, high technology, insurance, manufacturing, marketing services, medical technology and senior living.

Al has more than 25 years experience in professional recruitment including the management of seven Midwest offices for a large nationally recognized recruiting company. Al began his career working in public accounting for the firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. and holds an inactive CPA license. Al is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
