Al Giesen, Managing Director, joined Stone Murphy in 1996 and has conducted numerous local and national executive search assignments on behalf of a broad range of private and publicly held companies.  He also manages engagements for the recruitment of executives for portfolio companies owned by private equity firms.  Al is experienced in the completion of searches from the C-level through Director in general management and the functional areas of accounting, finance, operations, human resources, legal, sales and marketing.

Al has completed multiple searches across a broad range of industries including manufacturing, business services, technology, financial services, senior living, medical technology, marketing services, education and energy.

Al has more than 25 years experience in professional recruitment, employed only by Stone Murphy and a large national firm.  He began his career working in public accounting for the firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. and holds an inactive CPA license.  Al is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, having received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
