Helen Getzkin, Managing Director, joined Stone Murphy in 2002 and has over 20 years of retained executive search experience. Helen has completed numerous senior level executive search assignments locally and nationally across a wide variety of industries and functional areas, focusing on C-level positions as well as general management roles including key functional Vice Presidents and Directors. Her experience embraces all major functional areas of small privately held companies to Fortune 500 corporations including the placement of business leaders in human resources, finance, accounting, audit, information technology, public relations, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, sales, engineering, research and development and operations. Her many repeat clients demonstrate her commitment to both quality and client service.

Prior to joining Stone Murphy, Helen spent over 14 years with the Minneapolis practice of the retained executive search firm, Korn/Ferry International, where she participated in the completion of a wide variety of executive searches. Helen was employed by Norwest Corporation, Minneapolis (currently Wells Fargo & Company) as Manager of Employment from 1979 to 1988, where she directed a team of recruiters providing strategic human resources support to various divisions. Her multifaceted background has provided Helen with diversity and breadth of recruiting experience allowing her to fully deliver wide-ranging search solutions with unparalleled client service.

Helen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with an industrial concentration from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN. Helen has also served on the Board of Directors for non-profit organizations, including her current position on the Board of Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota-North Dakota.
