Toni Barnum, Partner,

joined Stone Murphy in 1983, and is the Managing Partner of the firm. She is also in charge of the firm’s Financial Services practice. Toni is recognized as an expert in recruitment within the financial services industry. Clients served are investment management firms, investment banks, private equity and real estate funds, hedge funds, insurance and trust companies, and banking institutions headquartered in the Midwest. Toni has conducted national searches for Presidents, Chief Investment Officers and other experienced investment professionals in the functional areas of portfolio management, investment research, trading, corporate finance, marketing and sales for fixed income, equity and alternative asset classes. Other assignments include recruitment of senior management professionals in finance, operations, risk, compliance, legal, product development and marketing.

Toni also conducts searches for senior management professionals on behalf of corporations within finance, treasury, human resources, strategic planning, investor relations and corporate development functions. She manages several relationships with private equity firms across the country for engagements that require recruitment of executives for their portfolio companies.

Toni began her career at KPMG Peat Marwick in their Audit Practice, and then worked as a Manager in Corporate Human Resources for General Mills prior to joining Stone Murphy. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
