 Toni Barnum, Partner, joined Stone Murphy in 1983, and is the Managing Partner of the firm.  She is also in charge of the firm’s Financial Services practice.  Toni is recognized as an expert in recruitment within the financial services industry.  Clients served are investment management firms, investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds and real estate funds, insurance and trust companies, and banking institutions headquartered in the Midwest .  Toni has conducted national searches in the functional areas of portfolio management, investment research, trading, corporate finance, marketing and sales for fixed income, equity and alternative asset classes.  Other assignments include recruitment of senior management professionals in commercial banking, operations, compliance, legal and product development.  

Toni conducts engagements for senior management financial professionals for corporations within treasury, strategic planning, investor relations, corporate development and finance functions.  She also manages relationships with private equity firms that require recruitment of executives for their portfolio companies. 

Prior to Stone Murphy, Toni began her career at KPMG Peat Marwick in their Audit Practice, and then worked as Manager of Corporate Human Resource Information Systems for General Mills.  She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
